Recently the Samsung’s website posted the battery for T-Mobile’s Galaxy S II(Samsung Hercules or Samsung SGH-T989). This battery is rated at 1800mAh and the battery code is EB625152VA. This battery is similar to Galaxy S’ battery, except the thickness is a little thicker. The Galaxy S battery is 5.7mm, whereas this battery is 6.2mm. No doubt the capacity is higher.
So from the dimension, I guess the old Galaxy S battery can be used in Samsung Hercules or Samsung SGH-T989. Unfortunately we still don’t know if this new battery has a special chip inside.
